Exactly what leaves your machine, and how to back up or wipe everything.
What leaves my machine, exactly?
- Nothing, with a local model and no integrations connected.
- Your prompts and relevant context go to the model provider you chose, when you use a cloud model.
- Integration traffic goes to that service (Google, Slack, WhatsApp, Fathom) when you connect it and Donna acts on it.
- An update check hits GitHub at launch to see if a newer version exists.
There is no telemetry, no analytics, and no account. The code is MIT-licensed if you want to verify.
How do I back up, move, or wipe my data?
Back up / move: Settings → Export server bundle produces a single archive of your database, knowledge base, and credentials, importable on a self-hosted server. Wipe: quit Donna and delete the data folder listed above; next launch starts fresh. Uninstalling the app does not delete the data folder.
